In rugby, you can play with both your hands and feet, which is quite interesting and convenient. Interestingly, players can be knocked to the ground with their hands, but they cannot be grabbed by the neck, tripped or pulled with one hand. If the ball goes out of bounds, it is thrown into a so-called corridor of players. If there is a forward pass or a minor violation, the players throw the ball between two groups of eight players and try to win the ball. If the violations are more serious, it is a yellow or red card. By the way, if the card is yellow, the player leaves the field for ten minutes.

This sport is characterised by a team contact strategy. An oval ball is used for activities, rather than a standard one. The most popular type is rugby union. There are 15 or 7 players on a team (if it is sevens). The competition format consists of two 40-minute halves. In total, one match lasts 80 minutes. Points are awarded for several types of activities:
- conversion;
- try;
- drop goal;
- penalty.
Players must pass the ball backwards or kick it. Scrums and rucks are important elements. The former are a kind of restart after a violation, while the latter are necessary for throwing in. There is also a simplified version of the competition – Rugby League, where 13 players play.
